Our Programs

Montessori Children's House in Horsham and Blue Bell offers a variety of programs for families with children toddler age through Kindergarten. Montessori programs allow children to learn naturally through their experiences in a specially-prepared environment, centered around the five curriculum areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math and Cultural. Enrichment activities available to our children include music and art activities, computers, introduction to French, gym classes, yoga and educational field trips.

Montessori Prep is offered for children ages 18 months through three years. In our Prep program, toddlers are introduced to the initial Montessori concepts and materials that stimulate their natural desire to learn at an early age. Toddlers move between a combination of structured learning and free choice activities which are geared to enhance the development of independence and self-help skills.

Children in the Prep program may

  also chose to attend for

afternoons as well. This Prep Plus

  afternoon program includes

  lunchtime, nap and supervised

play. Schedules for two, three or

  five afternoons may be arranged

  with the school administrator.

Montessori Primary is offered for children ages three through six. Children explore language, geography, math, science, sensory awareness and practical skills of everyday living. Teachers observe and direct children through guided self-explorations.

Primary children have the option of scheduling an afternoon enrichment program. In the afternoon, the primary-age children continue to practice letter writing, number recognition and letter sound recognition. Outdoor play, art, nature, cooking and science activities provide a stimulating "plus" program.

Kindergarten is offered for children ages five and six. Mornings are spent in the mixed-age classrooms, while afternoons are in a specially-designed extended day Kindergarten class.

Kindergarten students work with advanced Montessori materials and further their skills in reading, creative writing, math, science and geography.

The Kindergarten program is licensed by the Department of Education, and provides excellent preparation for the first grade. Transportation is available for kindergarten children though the public school districts.

Supplemental Care is also available for all Montessori students, both before school (6:30am at Horsham, 7:00am at Blue Bell - 9am) and after school care (3pm - 6pm), to meet the needs of working families. The children are involved in music & movement, outside play, computers and table games. They also enjoy story time and art projects.

Camp Kaleidoscope is available at both Montessori Children's House locations in the summer for children ages two through eight. Campers ages 6 - 8 spend their day creating arts and crafts projects, playing sports and games, cooking, swimming and much more! Campers ages 2 - 6 enjoy water play, gardening, nature exploration, performing arts, music and more! Infant care provided by Play & Learn for siblings is available on site for Blue Bell families and nearby for Horsham families. CLICK HERE for more information about Camp Kaleidoscope.
