Our Parents
Our parents have various opportunities
to become involved with Montessori Children’s House, through
Conferences and Observations, Parent Education and Volunteer
Opportunities.
Parent Conferences and Observations
Montessori Children’s House
offers parent conferences and observations, scheduled in November
and May. These observations and conferences include classroom
visitations as well as written and verbal reports on your child’s
progress. Parents are welcome to come for additional observations
at any time during the school year, and teachers are always
happy to speak with parents about their child’s progress
as needed.
Parent
Education
Parents who choose Montessori Children’s House for their
children often have a keen interest in education. Throughout
the year, we provide parent meetings covering a wide variety
of topics on Montessori education and child development, as
well as a parent lending library of related books and magazines.
Parent
Volunteers
There are many ways for parents to volunteer in our school.
Some past activities parents have participated in include
creating and producing beautiful classroom yearbooks, organizing
and helping with field trips, planning classroom parties,
running the school lending libraries, facilitating special
events, coordinating fundraising activities and much more!
Parents often donate books and other learning materials to
the school, and coordinate gatherings outside of the school
to help parents get to know each other. Furthermore, parents
participate in daily programs such as sharing careers, international
foods, cultural dress and more with Montessori Children’s
House students
